Okay, so since this pissed so many asshole anons off the first time around, let me reblog it again and make something abundantly clear: I am not asking for much. I am not asking that you alter the content of your blog to suit my liking. I am not asking you to pander to a preference of mine.
I am asking you not to support the promotion and normalization of pedophilia.
I am not even necessarily asking on behalf of myself, I am asking on behalf of everyone who follows you and everyone who uses this site. Child abuse and the normalisation of adult/child sexual contact is obscene. It is not acceptable and to argue that fantasizing about it isn’t dangerous (”because you’d never act on it” to quote one anon in my inbox), is redundant, provably untrue and frankly a little frightening.
I didn’t know this kind of content was commonplace, but I got a very fucking rude awakening this afternoon after someone reblogged a piece of art that depicted Harry as a child young enough to have a pacifier in his mouth in a sexual situation. This blog tagged their reblog with something to the effect of ‘I still support you [artist name here]’. I was sickened and appalled. If this doesn’t sicken and appall you, I think you need to take a step back and understand the kind of content that you’re consuming and the implications it has in the real world.
Someone (and I’m really sorry but I’ve since forgotten who, it could have been @newmanagement or @claudiyah) linked to a post which clearly states that to depict children in sexual situations in art work is now illegal in the United States. As well it should be. And this should tell you all you need to know about the situation at hand.
If you come into my inbox defending people who create and then promote this kind of content (as many people have in the three hours I’ve been out at dinner), I will block you without hesitation. If you reblog content like this onto my dash, I will unfollow and block you without hesitation. If you think content like this is acceptable you are not the kind of person I want to engage with on the internet. You would not be the kind of person I would want to interact with in any circumstance or situation. Get yourself away from me.
